PEMF Therapy For Chronic Disease

PEMF is even helpful when it comes to treating chronic diseases. PEMF has also shown positive effects with Alzheimer’s disease, Lou Gehrig’s, cancer, heart disease, depression, diabetes, endometriosis, epilepsy, headaches, glaucoma, hepatitis, kidney problems, lung disease, lupus, multiple sclerosis, pancreatitis, Parkinson’s, sexual disorders, insomnia, spinal cord injury, stroke, Tourette’s, ulcers, urinary problems, and more.

For instance, one study published in Pain Research and Management found that, after seven days of twice-daily PEMF treatments, participants who struggled with fibromyalgia responded positively to the pulsed electromagnetic therapy, reporting less pain after treatment sessions.

Another study, this one in Chinese Medical Journal, concluded that “low frequency PEMFs relieves the pain of primary osteoporosis quickly and efficiently, enhances bone formation and increases BMD [bone mineral density] of secondary osteoporosis.”

Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy specifically targets cells that are meta-stable as a consequence of disease or other ongoing therapies. PEMF’s can be an important cellular therapy in many chronic diseases like cancer, wound healing, psoriasis and bacterial infections because of their effects on reducing chronic inflammation.

Normal cells are not harmed by PEMF’s, allowing other treatments to be more effective without proportional increases in side effects. In chronic inflammatory diseases, cells are characteristically maintained in meta-stable states, as a consequence of cytokine secretions and other stressors associated with the disease. In these cases, PEMF’s can work as a stand-alone anti-inflammatory therapy.
